i know most of the "jaskier is super powerful secretly" content comes from netflix fans and there's nothing necessarily wrong with that kind of content. HOWEVER. it has always bothered me because there's an implication in those works that jaskier must be powerful to have value to both geralt and the narrative, which goes directly against the message the books go out of their way to nail into you every 5 seconds and that is that jaskier is incredibly useless in most ways and even sometimes a hindrance but geralt keeps him around because he values and cares for him so much that jaskier being with him makes geralt's life more tolerable
I mean yeah it kinda sucks that Geralt is gonna be changing faces soon. But for a show that’s called “The Witcher” I was the least interested in what Geralt himself was doing for a good part of the show, other than when he was actively investigating the mind control thing.
Like, of all things happening with the characters this season I did not care for the domesticity montage and his whole neutrality thing. It’s not interesting anymore and if he hadn’t been so stubborn about it in the past Stregoborn would’ve been the one to die nstead of Renfri (SPOILERS)

I (41 F) have been happily married to my husband (47 M) for many years. Although he has been successful in his line of work, anyone who really knows us as a couple would tell you I’m the more ambitious one. He was recently given a small promotion and was made aware that he could be up for a really big (think executive/department head) promotion pretty soon, if he takes a bit of initiative.
